Popeyes Rewards was launched in June of 2021 and enables you to earn free food based on how many points you've earned in the program. It comes with tons of other great membership perks, too, and we'll break down everything you need to know about earning rewards in Popeyes' loyalty program.
Recent Updates
This November 9, National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day is back, and that means it's time to indulge in some delicious deals and freebies. We've evaluated several fast-food chains that are offering specials for the celebration, and we're happy to announce that Popeyes has some of the best deals around. Some of these deals have been known to be launched early and (hint, hint) stick around later.
Popeyes indeed started the celebration early this year on November 2, offering a free chicken sandwich with the purchase of any chicken sandwich combo. Popeyes chicken sandwich combos typically come with the sandwich and a drink, as well as a side such as cajun fries, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, or biscuits. Combos are already a good deal, but when you add the free chicken sandwich to that lineup, it's simply a phenomenal value for the money. The promotion allows you to choose from a variety of sandwich types, including Classic, Spicy, Blackened, Bacon & Cheese, and Spicy TRUFF. This offer is initially available online only and runs exclusively through the Popeye's App until Nov. 12. Keep in mind that it's limited to one free sandwich per order.
How to Earn Points
You'll earn 10 points per $1 you spend at Popeyes, and this is largely applicable on digital orders (i.e. via Popeyes website or app) only. There are just two restaurants that allow in-store orders, both located in Florida. The Red Road location in Miami and the South Dixie Highway location in Cutler Bay both let you earn points on your purchases by scanning your QR code in the Popeyes App or by presenting your physical Popeyes Rewards card, which you can only get at one of these two locations. Since the rewards program is relatively new, we'll be keeping an eye out to see if the in-store points earning proves successful. If so, it would not be surprising to see it spread to other Popeyes locations.
Where are my points?
After making an eligible purchase, it takes about 48 hours for your Popeyes points to post to your rewards account. Keep in mind that points are only earned on purchases of at least $1, and you won't earn points for orders placed on third party platforms such as DoorDash or Uber Eats.
How to Redeem
When you reach the requisite number of points to redeem a menu item, you'll get a reward coupon which you can apply within the Popeyes App or website when creating your order. Note that you can't modify these reward items without an additional cost. In addition, you are allowed to apply a maximum of one digital coupon to your order while redeeming, but you can't apply printed coupons to redemption orders. You can Redeem your Popeyes points for any of the menu items listed below:

Program Benefits
In addition to the 10 points per dollar you'll earn at Popeyes, there are a number of additional benefits.
$1 Happy Hour: During Popeyes Happy Hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5pm and 9pm, you can get any regular size Cajun Fries, Red Beans & Rice, Mashed Potatoes or Cole Slaw for just $1. This applies only on digital orders, and you'll have a limit of 3 discounted sides per order. You should also note that some Popeyes locations (like those in Puerto Rico and Alaska) don't participate in Happy Hour.
50 Bonus Points Opportunities: You'll earn 50 bonus points on Combo Meals such as the Classic or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Signature Chicken (between 2-5 pieces), 3 or 5-piece Tenders, ¼ Popcorn Shrimp, and 8 or 12-piece Nuggets.
100 Bonus Points Opportunities: You'll earn 100 bonus points on Family Meals such as the 8, 12 or 16-piece Signature Chicken or Tenders, 4 Sandwich Family Feast, Bigger Family Feast, or the Sandwiches N More Pack.
Point Accelerator Events: During certain periods, Popeyes will offer you the ability to earn more than the standard 10 points per $1 that you're normally entitled to earn as a member of Popeyes Rewards.
Member Challenges: Some bonus points are made available to members only after they have performed certain steps as part of a specific promotional challenge. As an example, you may be asked to complete a certain number of purchases within a given time period, and only then will you be awarded bonus points or rewards from Popeyes.
Third Party Rewards: From time to time, Popeyes will enter into partnerships with third parties (i.e. retailers, sporting events, etc) that allow you to redeem your points outside of Popeyes.
Personalized Offers: As a member of Popeyes Rewards, keep an eye out for offers that are crafted based on your particular ordering habits and favorite meals.
Points Expiration and Blackout Periods
You won't be able to redeem your points during predetermined Blackout Periods. Other than that, you've got to keep an eye out for your rewards expiration. If you haven't made any purchases associated with your Popeyes Rewards account within 180 days, your points will expire. Keep in mind that Popeyes is not required to notify you of any upcoming expirations, so you may very well miss out on redeeming points if your account has been inactive for a while. However, if you're using SoLoyal, you'll be alerted to any upcoming expiration dates so you don't have to worry about losing any points or rewards.
